What the Work Involves
Work in this area covers civil claims in the Magistrates' Courts and the Supreme Court of Barbados, from the first letter before action through to trial and appeal. It involves assessing whether a claim is viable and within time, gathering the evidence and expert reports a claim needs, drafting pleadings, witness statements and submissions, and conducting interlocutory applications, settlement negotiations, mediation and trials.
